Major Distraction with Delightful results...

View from the street, in keeping with the original facade and big old doors of the barn, the internal doors are placed to prevent the elements, (especially the wind) from getting through.
Inside, incorporated materials that have a wealth of history, add to the complexity of this space, the 1850's attic staircase and bay window are added jewels.
For extra perplexity... A peekaboo window that takes in the sunset view through the void.
My attempts at Art in this space are still a hinderance to its completion but, gives me a taste of how great it will be...
PS: I intend on having art workshops... Watch this space!

Life drawings on old literature, embellished with my symbolism, as a precedent to a flicker book with video, taking one through the growth cycle of seed to seed. On the far right is the raw imagery featured in a second video installation, all encompassing the same theme...
Love, paralleled to nature and human relations.

Love is... Unconditional.

This is a portrait I did of Brigitte, who relishes motherhood. The look of contentment is due to having her girls close by, these are her favourite colours, that of earth and love... Of course my EROS and ROSE symbolism encompasses nurturing, as the root is drawing up the nourishment to feed the plant. This process is vital to growth, evolution and the survival of our gene pool. On the path to enlightenment, for some people, selfless sacrifice as practiced in the role of motherhood is the only way to fully comprehend unconditional love and let this be so.

De-Construction Construction of Studio.

As you may have guessed... I'm painting in the lounge room!

Studio is going through a transformation...

This is my studio today, whilst the staged renovations are happening...

 I just keep painting in my corner and use my art for the interior design. 

Finished the one on the left today and it's SOLD!  

The other 3 on right are part of my portraits with 'EROS and ROSE' theme.

Love is... Portraiture.

This is a panoramic view of my Studio today...

Within this vista are first two portraits in a range I titled 'Love is...' Indicative of undertones in my themed work EROS and ROSE. The sitters are being selected by their support and/or involvement in the Arts. Jen and Jodie (portraits above) have come into my studio, opened their hearts and coined one word that encompasses what Love is... from their perspective. With this insight, these paintings express much more than the image or likeness of the subject.
