Portrait painting 'Pop Art' style.

Here are two portraits I painted of a husband and wife, I painted hers a five years ago because I found her  style inspiring, glamorous but simple. That large asymmetrical signature smile of Marys was a challenge between character and flattery... Success.
Years later, they commissioned the husband portrait of Justin from his wedding photo, with a sombre and gangster like pose. A trained eye would probably see the difference between an image in the mind painted with photographic reference against one straight off a photo.
The style here is 'Pop Art', which refers to creating an image, that of a sellable genre and thus creating an aesthetic work of Art  capable of elevating a person into a larger than life movie star genre and when successful, still capture the uniqueness of character in the individual.
